HOMALOMENA (SUGANDHMANTRI)

Homalomena (Sugandhmantri) locally named as ‘Anchiri’. Which is a highly medicinal value plant wild grown in Mizoram is decreasing year by year due to over-harvesting and deforestation. As a matter of fact, our Society is considering the need for conservation and propagation of Anchiri and carried out a successful study on exploration and conservation of anchiri at Teirei valley in Mamit District, Mizoram. Our Society is intending to initiate a project on Empowering Farmers through Sustainable Homalo Mena (Anchiri) cultivation in the near future.
